Tablets are great for all students. This does not have to be limited to students that have disabilities. There are many learning applications that can be downloaded onto them. From AAC apps to reading and math games. The students would be learning and it would be disguised by games. I have used iPads in the classroom to bring in a level of fun for the students.
They also have ones that are just meant for kids. They can learn shapes, letters, numbers, and colors. They are built durable so that they won't break when the child drops them. This video shows ABC Touch Tablet.
